Special Olympics West Virginia Protective Behavior Training and Policy

A SOI memorandum was distributed enforcing that every US program is required to provide all Class A volunteers with Protective Behavior Training in accordance with the US Risk Management Insurance Task Force policy.

West Virginia is a Mandatory Report state. As a volunteer it is extremely important that you understand what this means and how it affects you and your responsibilities by law.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS WV RECEIVES GRANT FROM THE UPS FOUNDATION

Special Olympics West Virginia received a $17,000 grant from The UPS Foundation, the charitable arm of UPS.  The grant will be used to support the organization's state level competitions such as Summer Games which enable individuals with intellectual disabilities to train and compete in 19 Olympic-style sports.
