Raleigh County Armory, Beckley, WV
Special Olympics West Virginia is excited to be conducting its 1st Annual Polar Plunge in Beckley on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at noon. The Raleigh County Armory will be the site of this plunge and will enable “plungers” to enter the water one step at a time or boldly jump into the outdoor swimming pool filled with cold water. As with all Polar Plunges, participants are asked to raise a minimum of $50 for the privilege to plunge. There are incentives for those who raise more, and prizes will be awarded for most money raised by both an individual and a team of 4 persons. All proceeds benefit Special Olympics West Virginia. A post-plunge party will be held at the armory to allow plungers to warm
