ResCare Joins the Special Olympics WV Team

Consumers of ResCare have for many years participated in Special Olympics West Virginia events.  This year the company has gone a step further by becoming a Platinum Sponsor of state events and also helping raise funds for the various county programs.

“This is truly a great partnership,” said John Corbett, Chief Executive Officer.  “It has been a pleasure providing programming for ResCare consumers, and we are very pleased that the company wants to become more involved and provide funding to help us continue to offer exciting opportunities for the wonderful individuals that we serve.”

In addition to ResCare's sponsorship of state events, nearly 35 company employees participated in the the recent SOWV Polar Plunges and raised considerable funding.  Supporting Special Olympics is something that fits with ResCare's mission, according to Cheryl Wickline, agency operations coordinator.

“ResCare means 'respect and care',” she said.  “That's the sum of what we do.  We open opportunities for both children and adults to do everything they can.  It just does so much for them on the inside.”

The Special Olympics WV team just got better with the addition of ResCare.
